During my newspaper career, I've written for the Finger Lakes Times, Tucson Citizen, Mesa Tribune, Detroit Free Press, Orange County Register, and San Jose Mercury News. I've been a sportswriter, features writer, news reporter, and editor. I'm also the author of "The Last Chance Ranch: A Story about Football, Gang Members and Learning to Play by the Rules."
